👍 Light: One of the most light-adaptable houseplants available. The Silver Bay thrives in bright to low indirect light — it will tolerate shadier spots that would stress most other plants. The silver variegation is most vivid in medium to bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can bleach and scorch the leaves.

💧 Watering: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. The Chinese Evergreen is wonderfully forgiving — it tolerates occasional missed waterings without complaint. Yellow leaves typically indicate overwatering; wilting or very dry soil signals it's time for a drink. In winter, reduce watering frequency as growth slows.
